Jurassic Clock
Review: This live and loud four-piece band from Guildford features the amazing vocal talents of ARTHUR, Brookie (lead vocals), WOODLAND, Sam (Lead guitar), BENJAMIN, Jude (Bass guitar and vocals), and EVERETT, James (Drums and percussion). They have only started playing together quite recently, but have a wealth of experience between them, including Brookie fronting of Spiderwire and extensive solo work. Although they cover many of the familiar tracks by artists such as AC/DC, Blink 182, Guns 'n' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, they also play some very unusual ones too.

Review: This band has Paul Lipscombe (lead vocals), Garath "Gaz" Davies (lead & rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Steve Mulcaster (lead and rhythm guitar), Mark Mulcaster (bass guitar), Mike Linge (Drums and percussion). Their set includes cover of classic tracks by Beatles, Marc Bolan, Bon Jovi, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Kaiser Chiefs, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Otis Reading, Rolling Stones, Steppenwolf, Undertones, as well as some of their own compositions. It's been a while since I've seen a lead vocalist put so much energy into a performance. This band has recently returned from an extended hiatus while Paul set up his new band Vibracore.

Led Zep Too
Review: One of the best, if not THE best Led Zeppelin tribute band in the UK. All that's missing is a curly blonde wig for TOOLEY, Oliver (lead vocals) as PLANT, Robert and the time travel illusion would be complete. JARVIS, Mike plays the classic two-headed guitar with passion. HERD, Shaun on keyboards reminds you of the power thats missing in many of today's guitar based boy bands, he also plays bass guitar. But most impressive of all is the thumping beats eminating from BUCK, Glen (Drums and percussion.)

Magic Eight Ball
Review: At present this band has a rolling line-up of fellow musicians and friends of lead singer Baz FRANCIS (lovechild of David BOWIE and Rick (Rik Mayall) from the The Young Ones. Sometimes including Andy COPPER and Michael GATES. Its great to find a frontman who's not afriad to be upfront. He seems to love nothing more than striding off the stage (when possible) and striking a pose, with his guitar, while effortlessly playing a wicked riff. Baz is also in sole charge of songwriting for the band. In his material I can hear strong echoes of the aforementioned Bowie, Guns N Roses, Queen, with a little dash of early Genesis. They demonstrate how rock should flow, taking the listener on a musical journey down river.

Magic Ship
Review: This 4-piece band from Twickenham has Colin Gillman (vocals and guitar), Sam Day (guitar and vocals), Adam Donovan (bass guitar), and Dave Lombardi (drums and percussion). They play classic rock with a twist of Americana, but performed with an English accent. The band name comes from the title of a song by 60s band Free. Starting out as just a few guys having fun playing at the rehearsal studios on a Monday night (instead of going down the pub), its now become a lot more serious. They have recently released their debut album "LoveTel Motel" on the Stone Island Record label and available at gigs.

Review: This 4-piece folk-rock band, were previously called FUBAR, a trendy acronym familiar to many gig-goers that feel a bit rough in the morning. It stands for "F#*ked Up Beyond All Recognition". Their clever wordplay continues with this palindrome. The line-up stays the same with Tiz (lead vocals & guitar), Nick Butcher (bass guitar & vocals), Alex Rutherford (guitar & backing vocals), Jon Taylor (drums & percussion). They write and perform their own songs, including "Don't be so paranoid", "Down to the river", "Powerlines", and "She won't listen to me". The also have a CD available "So Many Dynamos".

New Ambassadors, The
Review: This 5-piece band features the powerhouse of CLEAVER, Ashley on lead vocals, often found leaping around the stage, firing the crowd up. That is except for the couple of songs on which he plays keyborads. Geoff (guitar), DAWSON, Jon (guitar), Dan (bass guitar), with JAMES, Phil on drums and percussion. Phil started the band with a desire to find great rock anthems usually overlooked by other covers bands, as well as a few ballads. They play tracks by artists such as AC/DC : Bryan Adams : Aerosmith : Beatles, The : Blur : Bon Jovi : Joe Cocker : Coldplay : Feeder : Foo Fighters : Free : Googoo Dolls : Green Day : Gun : Guns n Roses : Kaiser Chiefs : Kasabian : The Killers : Kings of Leon : Kiss : Lenny Kravitz : Lynyrd Skynyrd : Manic Street Preachers : The Monkees : Muse: Oasis : The Proclaimers : Queen : Reef : Thin Lizzy : T-Rex : Undertones, The : U2 : Whitesnake : Wild Cherry : and sad to say Take That and Robbie Williams, but thankfully not when I saw them.

Review: This band started life as a duo featuring Jay Carter (guitar) and Adam Knight (Cajon). They have now been joined by Tom Weymouth (bass guitar). They play their owns songs. Jay Carter also plays bass guitar in White Pigeon.

Review: This band plays rocking rhythm and blues, and has a variable line-up but always features Nigel Bagge (lead vocals and guitar), Grant Tunbridge or Eddie Masters (bass), Paul Jobson or Rob Millis (keyboards), Ed Spevock or Ed Collins (drums and percussion), Or Eddie Armer (harmonica, mandolin). They play both covers and tracks composed by Bagge.
